Terms of Use

By accessing or using this website and/or engaging in services provided by Becoming Counseling Services (“Practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to the following Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or services.


1. Services Provided

Becoming Counseling Services offers mental health services, including but not limited to:

Individual therapy

Family and/or couples therapy

Consultation and psychoeducation

In-person and telehealth (virtual) services

Group therapy

Substance Misuse therapy and groups

Anger Management

Supervised Visitation Services

School Based Therapy

Vendor Events

Trainings and Corporate Events

All services are provided by qualified professionals or qulaified clinical interns in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards in North Carolina.

Use of this website does not establish a therapist-client relationship. A formal relationship is established only after intake, consent, and scheduling of services.


2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age, or a minor with parent/guardian consent

Reside in state where our clinicians are licensed to provide services

Provide accurate and complete information during intake and throughout care

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services if eligibility criteria are not met.


3. Client Responsibilities

Clients engaging in services agree to:

Provide accurate, honest, and complete information

Participate actively in sessions and treatment planning

Maintain appropriate behavior and communication

Attend scheduled appointments or provide timely cancellation notice

Follow agreed-upon policies regarding payment and communication

Therapy is a collaborative process, and outcomes depend on client engagement and participation.


4. Insurance and Payment

We accept certain insurance plans; however:

Coverage and benefits are determined by your individual insurance provider

Clients are responsible for verifying their benefits, copays, deductibles, and any non-covered services

Any fees not covered by insurance remain the client’s responsibility

Self-pay services must be paid in accordance with the Practice’s financial policies.


5. Virtual and In-Person Services

We offer both in-person sessions in Fayetteville, NC, and telehealth services.

By engaging in telehealth services, you acknowledge:

There may be risks related to technology (e.g., interruptions, security limitations)

You are responsible for ensuring a private and secure environment during sessions

Telehealth may not be appropriate for all situations, including emergencies

Children under the age of 10 are not permitted to receive telehealth services

We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of in-person vs. virtual care.


6. Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Information shared in therapy is confidential, except in circumstances required by law, including but not limited to:

Risk of harm to self or others

Suspected abuse or neglect

Court orders or legal requirements

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, logos, graphics, and materials, is the property of Becoming Counseling Services and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.


8. Termination of Services

Services may be terminated by either the client or the Practice at any time.

We reserve the right to terminate or refer out services if:

Services are no longer clinically appropriate

There is non-compliance with policies

Payment obligations are not met

There are safety or boundary concerns

When appropriate, referrals to alternative providers will be offered.


9. Emergency Services

Becoming Counseling Services does provide emergency or crisis services via phone or emergency session..

If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or the Veterans Crisis Line (if applicable).


10. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality care, we do not guarantee specific outcomes from therapy services. Use of this website, EHR, and services is at your own risk.


11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
